Hello Sopida, Thank you for joining the interview with us today. Could you introduce yourself, please?

Hello, and thank you for having me. My name’s Sopida Raovilai. I hold Bachelor degrees, Major Financial Science and Diploma Advance from Australian Pacific College, Major Marketing Business fied.

When I started on the Marketing side, I used to work on the luxury watch industry. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on FMCG with consumer beauty product lines in the position of GM and Marketing Director.

Currently, I am Head of Marketing Manager at masii Co.,Ltd and Siam Digital Lending Co.,Ltd where I focus 90% on online marketing as we are running business for Insurance Brokerage and Fintech.

You are working at one of the sub-companies of B. Grimm; what are the services or product lines that you are responsible for, and which are the skills that are required to be good marketers?

The company in which I work for is Masii Co.,Ltd., an insurance boutique service provider, that covers every moment of life and offers Group Insurance and Insurance Retail.

Also, Siam Digital Lending Co.,Ltd, a Financial Service Provider is about conducting business as a credit service provider, as well as applying various modern innovations such as AI systems, which are up-to-date and user-friendly for consumers.

The goal is to continually improve the financial well-being of Thai people, sustainably. At both companies, we focus on conducting our business with a strong emphasis on the principle of “compassion,” which is the organizational culture of our supporting company, B.Grimm Group Company Limited.

How does your company empower women and apply diversity and inclusion in the workplace?

At Siam Digital Lending, we believe in fostering a workplace that reflects the diverse world we live in. Our approach to empowering women and championing diversity and inclusion is multifaceted. Firstly, we have established mentorship and leadership development programs specifically tailored to support and advance women in their careers. As a manager, how do you empower and mentor your marketing team members?

As manager, I empower and mentor my marketing team through communication, skill developmentand recognition. To help each team member achieve their full potential and contribute to our marketing goals, I create a supportive and growth-oriented environment based on a few fundamental principles:

Open Communication: I prioritize open and transparent communication with my team. I encourage team members to share their ideas, concerns, and feedback freely. This not only fosters a sense of trust but also ensures that everyone’s voice is heard and valued.

Goal Alignment: I work closely with each team member to align their individual goals and career aspirations with the team’s and the company’s objectives. This involves setting clear, measurable, and achievable goals that challenge and inspire them.

Skill Development: I’m committed to continuous learning and skill development. I identify continuous team member’s learning and skills development areas for improvement and provide them with opportunities for training, workshops, and skill-building exercises. This not only enhances their expertise but also boosts their confidence.

Recognition and Feedback: I make it a point to recognize and celebrate team members’ achievements, no matter how small. At the same time, I offer constructive feedback to help them improve. This feedback is delivered in a constructive and supportive manner to foster growth.

Team Collaboration: I encourage collaboration within the team and cross-functionally. By fostering an environment where team members can exchange ideas and work together, we can achieve more and learn from one another.

However, we believe the human touch is indispensable for nurturing customer relationships and ensuring ethical, responsible lending practices. Our dedicated human teams prioritize personalized customer support and ethical decision-making, ensuring the best interests of our clients and adherence to regulatory standards.

By striking this balance, we aim to provide our clients with the best of both worlds: the efficiency of AI and the compassion and judgment that only humans can provide.

If you could travel back in time to the beginning of your career, is there anything you would do differently? What would you tell yourself?

I believe every step in my career has contributed to my growth and learning. However, if I were to offer advice to my younger self, I would emphasize the importance of seeking out mentorship early on. Having a mentor can provide invaluable guidance, offer different perspectives, and help navigate challenges more effectively.

I would also encourage myself to embrace failure as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. It’s through challenges that we truly grow and develop resilience. Additionally, I would emphasize the significance of networking and building meaningful relationships within the industry.

I am grateful for the journey that has led me to where I am today, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Each experience has shaped me into the professional I am now, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing in the future.

As a marketing leader in today’s rapidly changing world with a diverse range of tools and platforms, including communication methods, and even consumer behaviors, both internal and external factors can have both positive and negative impacts. Therefore, as Digital Business Women, we should not be afraid of change. We must have a continuous strategy in place, plan ahead, including contingency plans, be willing to sacrifice and be patient. Sometimes we may be in a situation with limited resources, but it’s also an advantage that leads us to think creatively all the time. This may sound easy to say but hard to do, but all of these are delicate matters that every marketer must consider at all times. However, the DNA of Digital Business Women must never stop learning and developing themselves because it is a crucial factor.
